ROLLBACK Ozark Trail Instant Canopy Only $30!! Reg $49

I tried to find this part to buy and couldn’t locate it, so I made it, right here in my own house and that is the best thing about 3d printing. The speed does not create the prettiest quality on my printer but its still solid and no layer separation. I debated about returning the canopy and ordering a new one but then I thought that this would be a great use of the 3d printer. To our dismay when we fist set it up two of the truss support brackets broke. They are just made out of cheap aluminum and it appears they break very easy.

My only complaint is when I need to get in to the bag, but not is a big problem. I have fellow campers that would love to buy one, but for some reason I can’t find one anywhere. I would like to buy another one for myself as a back up. This is my third season of using it and it’s getting to be on its last leg.

It is made with a steel construction frame and polyester material for the canopy, which is in line with just about every shade tent on the market today. The weight of this Ozark Trail is lighter than most of the same size alternative steel frame canopy tents, coming in right about 29 lbs. An argument can be made as to whether this is good or bad. From a positive perspective, the lightweight design increases portability which is certainly important in carrying the tent to its intended location.

From a negative perspective, the weight is indicative of a lack of high quality material and components used throughout the shelter. The included carrying bag does not have wheels to aid in transportation, but at only 29 lbs. We don’t find that to be a noteworthy drawback as the nylon handles and shoulder strap work just fine in carrying the tent.

Make your tailgate, campout, or backyard party even more enjoyable with the Ozark Trail 10′ x 10′ Instant Straight Leg Canopy. Made of a durable polyester construction, this canopy tent provides 100 square feet of cooling shade anywhere and the easy push-button ozark trail backpack system offers safe setup and takedown. It features built-in vents on the top for added ventilation and offers you 50+ UV protection from the hot sun all day long. The canopy top itself comes with a handy mesh pocket for storing your smaller items.

We are even printing a few extra of these to have around and keep in the canopy bag for future mishaps. The feet areas of the legs are also something to mention, as they are shaped like pads instead of a simple pole. This adds to the stability as the weight is more evenly spread. It would probably only protect against light rainfall as the materials aren’t specifically made for moderate or heavy moisture levels.

I have the 9×9 First Up dome tent tan with brown and blue trim. The reason why I gave it 4 and not 5 is it says 4-5 people but really is best for just 2 and perhaps an infant. Also the sides of the tent are netted mesh so it get a bit nippy in the tent at night wish they had made a closing window for those. Now I have a functioning canopy and all it really took is about 5 hours of time including the print time.

It’s worth highlighting that despite the advertised dimensions of the 10×10 Ozark Trail, because this is a slant leg shelter the top only measures ozark trail backpack 8×8. While it might not sound like much, that is a difference of 64 sq. Ft. of shade coverage which we find to be quite significant.

Thought it was the best tent ever until we used it with a decent wind blowing. The problem I had was that the hinges in the poles kept unlocking and the tent would collapse in on us until the wind died down a bit and we could push it back out. We remove the brim from the part and do a little bit of clean up. Normally this is where I need to go back and make adjustments to the measurements but this time it slides right on with a snug fit. Not very often do I get the measurements right on the first go but this time it worked out perfectly.
