Ozark Trail Grey Screen House

If anyone reading this review has any idea where I can purchase another one just like it, please contact me at If you have the manual and can scan it and e-mail me I would really appreciated it. I loved sitting outside and eat dinner in the screen house and mess it.

As I’ve mentioned elsewhere in the blog, I’m getting married in Joshua Tree on August 2nd, outdoors. It occurred to me that if I insist on inviting people into a blazing Mojave inferno in the height of the summer it would be polite to provide some shade. Shade can be a matter of survival there if you’re outside at midday. Then I started having other wild fantasies, like effectively adding a room to the desert shack where I live by erecting the shadehouse in the backyard.

ozark trail screen house

This is one of those products where the instructions are basically a complete fantasy. They make one false unstated assumption after another. And ozark trail chairs even then, they’re not simple. What you wind up with is a web of pipes and plastic pieces that falls apart at one end as you assemble the other.

Had the screen house for 4 years. A gust of wind probably around 50 MPH took it down. Broke all four corner hubs and bent all 1b poles beyond repair. We loved it when it stayed together. Now unable to get all the parts I need to make it worth repairing. It seems like I am the second person to review this product, and the second one to give it a 1 Star rating.

You either need six people or twelve arms to hold the thing together when assembling. Then the screening doesn’t fit right over the frame. I am sorry that I ever purchased it. Hopefully I can find a replacement part. An absolute waste of money and time, and cost plenty of aggravation. I contacted Wal-Mart (1-800-WALMART) to see where I could get a replacement pole for the tent.

Goes together well, but as soon as we got a little shower…. Total collapse, hubs (2) shattered and two sets of poles completely destroyed. ozark trail canopy Not sure if I should order replacement parts or not, maybe I should just consider this a waste of money, and cut my losses while I can.

I borrowed this screen tent and thought it was a pain to put up…the center hub broke forcing me to duck tape it to keep it together. The new types that go right up without connections are so much better. It was a nice size though and eventually got up with extra tape. We placed the screen house over a picnic table at the campsite and it did a fairly good job of keeping insects out while we were eating.

This tent meets the flammability requirements of CPAI-84.The fabric may burn if left in continuous contact with any flame source. The application of any foreign substance to the tent fabric may render the flame-resistant properties ineffective. Next day delivery isn’t available on certain items during sales or promotions.
