On top of that, there’s also no zip down the middle of the divider for easy access into either room. To get into the other room, you’d have to remove the divider and then put it back up. What I don’t ozark trail shower tent quite like about this divider is that it’s sheer, so not completely opaque, and also, it’s not exactly full length. There’s also 1 lantern loop at the very top of the tent for some lighting at night.
So yes, the Ozark Trail is an absolute steal of a deal if you’re into the bell tent design, but there are a few shortcomings you’ll want to be aware of if you’re considering it. First, although it’s a great space to hang in good weather, the yurt’s ventilation struggles to keep up in serious heat. If you plan to use it during summer, you may want to consider taking advantage of its e-port to run a tent air conditioner. Finally, keep in mind that this is a single wall shelter, which means there’s a lot riding on the quality of the tent fabric and seams. Plenty of customers swear by the Ozark Trail Yurt’s waterproofing, but we recommend treating it with an extra DWR treatment and sealing any missing seams before putting it to work. Ozark Trail is famous for its huge large family camping tents and they have many 12-person tents in particular, so it is easy to get lost.
I have seen people asking if any of those vents can be used to fit an air conditioner, and the answer is no. Regarding seasons & climate, this is a summer camping tent for places without rain and strong winds. The waterproof rating is minimal, the fly covers only the ceiling, the tent is very tall and as such a huge obstacle for winds and it would not last long in a very windy place.
Its combination of a spacious floor plan, smart layout, and added livability all work together to make it the stand-out model in the Ozark Trail lineup. You might want also to check these nicely built Columbia Mammoth Creek 10 Person Cabin Tent and OT QOMOTOP Tent 10 Person. There’s no dark room technology though, and it’s quite bright throughout the day. There’s some space at the bottom that’s not covered, and also some space at the top that’s not covered by the divider. Also, I’m not tall enough to attach it without some help, but if you’re slightly taller you should be able to attach it no problem.
It wasn’t too difficult to get the tent, poles and all other accessories back into the carry bag. The 6 wall poles are made of steel, I think, but they’re probably not stainless steel, because I found some rust on one of these steel poles. So after washing your tent and I also do rinse off the poles, do let them dry first before storing it away. The zippers worked fine for the windows, but kept snagging on the door because of this rain cover. My other tents with similar designs did not have this serious of a snagging problem.
The single door measures about 54 by 39 inches in dimensions, although it’s about 62 inches from the floor to the top of the door. This is almost a full-sized door, but I do need to duck a little when entering. It took me about double the time to set it up on my own (so, 20 minutes). But unfortunately, because I’m not tall (I’m 5’3″), I couldn’t get the rainfly up on my own, and that’s where I got stuck. Finally, attach all the pole clips, place the rainfly over the Ozark Trail tent, secure it, and stake out the entire tent.
Every single time I open this door, the zipper will snag at least once, sometimes twice, which can be annoying. The door does have a bug net, but it’s only for half the door, and not the full door. The holes are quite large, so I’m pretty sure that this is not no-see-um mesh. There are 2 windows along the length of the tent, and 1 window on the width of the tent. The entire Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent takes about 10 minutes to set up, when my brother and I were setting it up together (2 people).
After I ordered the product at Walmart.com, I went to the store to pay cash. I received two queen air mattress on time but did not receive the tent till well over time estimated delivery. I almost went to refund the tent, but it did not qualify @ the time. On the other hand, I’ve had some of my Coleman Tents for about 3 to 4 years now, and I never noticed any of the tent fabric becoming sticky. And the steel poles of my WeatherMaster tent are still holding up fine. And while my WeatherMaster 10-Person Tent doesn’t have super big windows, 2 of the windows are these huge, angled windows for ventilation on rainy days instead.
