This cooler has a number of features that you would find on more expensive coolers and a few that you won’t find. Ultimately, the good design for this product was that it was sized right for what I needed, both in dimensions and weight. Not too small, but not too large (and thus wasteful) – a Goldilocks design.
The Tundra Haul features rubber clasps, which I really like, and hard plastic wheels. As far as multi-daypacks go, this one might take the cake. The price is right, the capabilities are there, and the durability seems to be inherent. It would make a great camping backpack but also serve well as a travel backpack for more urban adventures. Before purchasing this pack I used a more traditionally styled, and heavier, backpack for daily walks.
I plan to pick up another if/when this one wears out. I know some will immediately dismiss my review simply because I bought this pack at WalMart. I’ve been attempting to drop weight for the past several years, mostly because my knees can’t handle it. My shelters have gotten lighter as have my sleeping system — next in line for a diet was my carry system. Funds, however, were non existent and my CFO (i.e. my wife) wouldn’t increase my discretionary fund. Walmart has up to 50% off select Ozark Backpacks and Daypacks!
