I would not even think of unloading it on my worst enemy. When you buy anything from Walmart it is made cheap so it can sell for cheap. Not the best, but certainly better than other shelters I’ve stayed in. At least it is easy to clean and provides bug protection. Again, I AM a soldier with nearly 30 years experience in putting tents together. It sucked the trip the camping everything because the damn zipper broke and I got beast up on by mosquitoes and bugs.
These caveats aside, this is still our number one when heading out to the playing field. So there you have it, when looking at just the ability to keep ice cold over a period of 6 days the Pelican has just slightly won, but we are talking about decimal points. I have to say that I am very impressed with the performance of the Ozark Trail 45Q cooler. This cooler is not only smaller in its overall size but also a fraction of the price of the competition.

Pelican is a newer entry in to the world of rotomolded coolers and have taken their own spin on design and function. Overall the Pelican coolers have sharper edges and a bit more of an industrial feel than the competition. One of the first things to note about it’s design is that it has a larger drainage hole and a tethered drain cap, which is a nice feature. I have lost a couple of drain caps in my day which makes the cooler unusable until a replacement arrives. Compared with cheaper chairs of its kind (like those from Walmart), the REI Co-op chair functions better and will last much longer. It can hold a lot of supplies, and it’s easy to carry and set up. The King Kong chair has two cupholders and intuitively placed storage pouches under each armrest; unlike the Coleman chair, though, this one doesn’t have a cooler pouch. Let me just tell you this, it doesn’t make a difference what model your tent is. The main thing is is that the zippers that you put in these tents are so substandard that it doesn’t last more than one or two camping trips.
