Thank you OZARK for making camping nights with small children just a little more difficult!!!! Good thing we are all troopers and we didn’t let your HORRIBLE product ruin our trip. When you buy anything from Walmart it is made cheap so it can sell for cheap. This I do not think a lot of people realize.
The only place I put up the tent was in the backyard. We must have had some wind but not tornado force/ hurricane force winds. I just wish who I need to contact to get a new tent shell and two end poles that are made of sturdy material would contact me and make good of it.
Being protected from the suns harmful UVB rays is probably why you wanted a canopy tent in the first place, and this Ozark Trail tent meets all criteria in this department. The one complaint we have is that there is no vents in the fabric at the peak to release the build up of hot air under the canopy. Most new tents incorporate this ventilated canopy design to increase airflow and reduce the trapping of hot air, helping to keep those in the shade cooler and more comfortable.
The legs are locked into place with old school metal push button locks, something you won’t see on many modern pop up tents now-a-days. These push locks get very difficult to use over time, especially if the tent is used on the beach and exposed ozark trail canopy to sand and saltwater, causing rust build up. Many newer tent brands like EZ-Up use revolutionary thumb lock sliders or larger easy to release buttons, which are a much better user experience when setting the canopy up or taking it down.
The fly is so small it allows rain to blow up under and then runs into the tent. My Ozark tent was set up in my wooded ozark trail chair acerage all summer long. I was so pleased with the quality that I upgraded and bought a bigger Ozark tent.
The weight of this Ozark Trail is lighter than most of the same size alternative steel frame canopy tents, coming in right about 29 lbs. An argument can be made as to whether this is good or bad. From a positive perspective, the lightweight design increases portability which is certainly important in carrying the tent to its intended location. From a negative perspective, the weight is indicative of a lack of high quality material and components used throughout the shelter.
When we reached the beach everything went great, first night 30 mh winds. Next night still calm, took cover off and loved looking up at the night sky. My husband and I decided to head to the Texas coast for our 10yr old’s first camping trip. I LOVE the room first of all , and the looks were very eye pleasing too.
You set a new low in tents and the damn zippers you put in them. What are they plastic or made out of pewter. And before you guys cop an attitude, I have been camping since I was at least 4 years old and I am now in my mid-50s. Getting our hands dirty with the top-rated 9×9 Neso Grande lightweight beach canopy tent. The biggest issue in all of this is the inability to withstand any rotational pressure during medium and high impact weather conditions as the joints become unstable and collapse at the mid points. In windy conditions high stress is applied to each side and the frame begins to break down at the unreinforced joint connectors.
I would like a response to this please and I do expect some compensation of some kind! Every time we put some faith in these tents we got let down. I called North Pole (the makers of Ozark Trail tents) not to get much help! Rather than continuing to wait for the company to come up with a soulution and stop questioning me on proper use or abusive weather conditions!
It’s easy to set up and take down for convenient storage when not in use. The Ozark Trail 10FT x 10FT Slant Leg Canopy sits on four slanted legs for extra security. It includes a handy carrying bag for added convenience during transport. Take this shade creator on a camping trip to enjoy time out of the sun or rain. It’s worth highlighting that despite the advertised dimensions of the 10×10 Ozark Trail, because this is a slant leg shelter the top only measures 8×8.
