Hinchcliff referred questions about the sale to a person at Trek who was unavailable. EASTON, Pa. (BRAIN) — Trek Bicycle has acquired genesis bike, a single-store operator in the Lehigh Valley. Trek will fill all orders placed before it takes over as store owner. Bike service must be completed before Trek takes over, the site says.
Genesis bikes became renowned for their use of steel tubing and ethos for function over form. The first Genesis bike was produced under the Ridgeback brand as the Day One model in 2001. Due to its popularity, Genesis became a label in its own right in 2006. With so many different variables this is an impossible question for us to answer properly!

The site said a retirement sale would begin Thursady and the store will be closed May 4-7 as trek prepares to re-open under the new ownership. Tomias Hinchcliff opened the store in 1974 “with two bikes in a tiny storefront in downtown Easton,” he said on the store website.
