Laser Engraved Ozark Trail 20oz and 30 oz Stainless Steel Tumblers

Unfortunately, like most all water bottles and tumblers, they are made in China. While it cannot be denied that the Yeti Tumbler is a great tumbler for keeping beverages cold or hot for an extended period, it is also hard to deny that it is pricey. Finally, I added the vinyl to a piece of transfer tape to make adding the design to my tumbler MUCH easier. We are committed to finding, researching, and recommending the best products. We earn commissions from purchases you make using the retail links in our product reviews.

You can put the Yeti tumbler anywhere in the dishwasher but the Yeti lid should always be on the top rack. Ozark Trail offers a tumbler similar to Yeti for a discounted price. While Ozark Trail tumblers may not have the immediate brand recognition that Yeti tumblers do, but many consider them to be Yeti’s equal. In this case, Yeti products do have a positive reputation for their quality. In fact, when you place the Ozark and the Yeti tumblers next to each other, you would have a hard time figuring out the differences. You can basically get the same type of performance that Yeti Tumbler can give you but get two of them for the same price.

Like the 32oz Tumbler, the 22oz ozark trail chair comes in black, mint, silver, or tan and can be ordered in quantities of 1, 2, 4, or 6. Therefore, a cup that is sturdy, reliable, warm, cold and easy to carry is very important. It seems to be the same quality tumbler as more expensive competitors; you just aren’t paying for the Ozark Trail, Yeti or RTIC name. We wanted to review a generic version to see how it compared to the now-popular Ozark and the legendary Yeti tumblers. A petite person or child may find the 30 ounce size to be a bit of a challenge to use.

Because it is cheaper and practically does everything that the Yeti Tumbler does, it is not surprising that Walmart’s Ozark Trail tumblers are selling fast. Perhaps most famous for the popularity of the Yeti tumbler, many people refer to their Yeti as a cup instead of a tumbler. And while they became popular seemingly overnight, Yeti tumblers have also become the standard by which other tumblers were made. Yet if you have a regular glass in the office, chances are you won’t be able to enjoy one after coming back from an hour long meeting.

The Yeti Rambler tumbler is made with kitchen-grade stainless steel and has double-wall vacuum insulation. This allows hot drinks to stay hot and cold drinks to stay cold, and it’s “MagSlider Lid” helps prevent heat or cold from escaping but won’t entirely prevent spillage. It’s claims to be BPA-free and has a “no sweat” design, which keeps fingers dry. This vacuum-sealed, stainless steel tumbler will prove to keep your cold drinks cold longer than 12 hours, and hot drinks hot. You will be happy to know that unlike stainless steel water bottles of the past, these insulated tumblers won’t freeze your hands when you have cold drinks or burn them with your hot beverages. The 18/8 stainless steel gives it a clean palate, and doesn’t leave behind any metallic taste.

Ozark Trail and Yeti tumblers are made with stainless steel which is easy to clean. In both of these vessels, your drinks will stay hot for hours longer than you will need. They mention that it does not close or seal, the rubber seal on the lid comes off, and the drinking hole stays open.

You can use the lid of the Ozark to seal the Yeti tumbler, and vice versa. Although the ozark trail chair is not dishwasher safe, it is very easy to clean by hand washing. I wiped the tumbler down with rubbing alcohol to make sure there was no grime or oil on the surface of the tumbler. I aligned the vinyl with the top of the tumbler and carefully smoothed out the transfer tape. You are able to purchase additional lids both in a spill proof configuration and the open mouth version that comes with the tumblers.

Putting them side by side, the Yeti and Ozark Trails tumblers look exactly alike. They’re the same size and shape, are made of stainless steel, and have similar sip tops. The only real physical differences are that Yeti has a slider on the lid and they have different logos adorning the cups (obviously). I also took into consideration how cold or hot to the touch each tumbler was when filled with liquid and tipped each one over to see if they would leak. On the other hand, the ozark trail chair is made of high-grade, double-walled stainless steel and is vacuum-sealed—so pretty much the same as the Yeti. It’s also BPA-free and has a “no sweat” design, but doesn’t have a slider on the lid.

And no, I did not buy a Yeti cup…I bought an Ozark Trail insulated tumbler. I’ll be totally honest, I was not expecting this cooler to be as nice as it was. It’s easy to get caught up in brand perception and often times very difficult to break away from what you think you know about a brand. I used the word “think” intentionally, because what I thought I knew about Ozark Trail was not correct. Ozark Trail is proving to be a really solid competitor for outdoor products. This cooler has a number of features that you would find on more expensive coolers and a few that you won’t find.
