Kent Women’s Valkyrie Mountain E Bike Adult Bikes Sports & Outdoors

It held a 155-lb adult flying through the air, even though I was half expecting a pedal to snap off on my repeated landings. But no, the thing is overbuilt for its ratings, just like Kent’s lawyers surely insisted that it should be. The V-brakes similarly aren’t incredibly high quality, but then again, they work just fine. This is a $498 kids e-bike after all – not a $17,000 S-Works for lycra-clad dads.

Mark Hopgood, 55, a software engineer and musician from Sevenoaks, Kent, came up with the idea earlier in 2024 after his electric bike broke down and he was quoted £1,200 to buy a new one. The advantages of mid-drive motors, though, mean that you’ll usually find them on higher-end electric bikes, whereas low-cost electric bikes tend to favor hub motors. The rest of Kent’s mid-drive e-bike fits more in line with the other budget models in its class.

In all communication, please include the bike/scooter 7-digit license plate number and issue or reason for relocation. To see how much fun the Kent Torpedo e-bike is, check out my video review below! Then keep reading for my complete thoughts and testing (yes, I rode it too!). While the Electric Cruiser was lighter than most kent bayside cruiser e-bikes I’ve tested over the years, I would still hate to have to haul it upstairs or lift it onto a car rack. I contacted Kent’s customer service about a different issue and an actual human being answered the phone after just a couple of rings. I’m confident if a customer had an issue, they’d quickly try to resolve it.

I installed new front forks on my bike, purchased her a ride, and we started making the weekly trek for a short 30-minute trail excursion. One day while riding a local trail, I took a wrong turn and found myself on a black diamond trail with some huge drop-offs. My front suspension forks took the brunt of the punishment and consequently locked up. For the next couple of years, I continued to ride that bike with the broken forks because standard MTB trails—the greens and blues—don’t require high-end shocks (or apparently any shocks at all). The website also hosts a safety quiz that reinforces the messages seen in the videos about proper rider behavior, including where to ride and how to park. Scan the QR code on your phone or click on the link below to take the Safety Quiz.

Retailing for under $700 (around £515/AU$970), the Kent Electric Cruiser was created for them. S-200 1st Edition is a cutting edge three-wheeled e-scooter with enhanced suspension and a larger wheel base. S-200 offers the safest ride on the market with three independent braking systems (regenerative rear brake, front and rear drum brakes) and turn signals on the handlebars. S-200 has a front and rear-facing camera embedded in the scooter that allows our remote operators to reposition the e-scooter as needed.

The first half was mainly uphill and the bikes performed magnificently. The last 7 miles turned into an obscure, unmaintained dirt/gravel downhill road covered in sticks, pinecones, sharp rocks, and other precarious tire-popping rubbish (along with a wild turkey I almost ran over). Somehow, we made it the whole 16 miles without a flat and with our brains intact. Not wanting to give up my precious gym time, I bought two electric pedal-assist bikes. I chose the Kent Electric Mountain Bike 27.5” from Walmart for a couple of reasons.

This system will hopefully stop users from leaving their vehicles in trash cans and on top of roofs. “As long as you’re within that area and if not then let’s say you’re a block away, you just walk to the nearest spot,” said Jim Kraus, the senior assistant director for the department of recreational kent bayside cruiser services. Making trips to downtown Kent will be more accessible for students– as well as trips to grocery stores and other shopping locations within SPIN’s GeoZone. Within the zone, there are a few no-riding zones, however, those areas are either parking lots or places with high traffic.
