After a pretty bad storm at the beach, a few of the poles broke…so we are moving onto the next new one and selling the first for parts. The screening and roof are all in excellent condition, along with all the poles, etc. With two more roof poles, I’m ozark trail canopy sure this could be prevented. On hot, sunny days, we don’t think we could remain inside the Easy Up for long periods. Even with the drapes stowed, there is less ventilation than in larger, open canopies. And, despite effectively blocking the sun’s rays, this shader tends to remain quite warm, much like a backpacking tent would when it’s left in the sun all day. It also doesn’t perform well in the rain, primarily because of its open design. The roof and mesh windows allow water to enter, and once inside, the waterproof tarp flooring compounds the problem by allowing the rainwater to form puddles inside the tent. While perhaps not as versatile, this is a great structure to have available for a breezy day on the beach.
All the while, we assessed key performance metrics such as functionality, ease of setup, protection, craftsmanship, and portability. We hope you can use this comprehensive and unbiased review to help you find all the shade-seeking advice you need to make the best purchasing decision. I recently tried out the Leisure Sports 14′ x 12′ Enclosed Screen Tent and it has become a game-changer for our family’s outdoor adventures. The canopy has a UV protection rating of UPF 30, which is perfect for protecting us from those harsh rays when we’re camping or enjoying a barbecue. The mesh walls are ideal for keeping bugs at bay, and setting up this tent is a breeze with the included fiberglass poles, nylon tie lines, and steel stakes.
It’s important to note that while it’s convenient and easy to set up, it might not be the best option for very cold temperatures due to its lack of insulation. One wall comes fully unzipped and stashes into an internal pocket. Like the REI model, the L.L.Bean tent has ample interior pockets, a lantern hook, and a roomy carrying bag, though the bag is of the typical drawstring-sack variety. If you love camping but hate eating your morning pancakes in the rain, a canopy tent can protect you from the trifecta of bugs, sun, and sudden showers. If anyone has a hub gable or #1 Roof pole, I would be interested in buying those parts. I loved the size of this screen house but after a few uses, the 4-way hub gable cracked and a couple of the curved roof poles bent a little.
The 100 square feet of interior space provided ample room for my family and friends to enjoy the great outdoors. One thing I noticed, however, was that the tent wasn’t entirely waterproof. While it held up well against light rain, a few drops managed to find their way inside.
However, there was a downside to this tent, as we faced a minor issue with a leaky roof during a sudden thunderstorm. It was disappointing to see that even with the rainfly on, water still dripped through. A handful of REI customers complain that the tent is not stable in strong winds.
It has definitely become a favorite spot in my backyard, and I’m glad I decided to give it a try. I had the chance to test out the Waypoint Screenhouse Tarp and let me tell you, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with it. One thing that did give me some trouble was the assembly process. The instructions were a bit difficult to understand, and I found myself getting frustrated as I tried to figure out where each pole went. But with the help of a friend, we were able to put the tent together in no time. One of the standout features was the no-see-um mesh panels, which helped keep pesky insects at bay without obstructing our view of the beautiful surroundings.
