After the bike-boom of the early 1970’s, Paramount was in a poor state of affairs in regards to competition and advancing technologies. In 1979, Edward R. Working as a contractor for Schwinn is how Giant developed its name. I would recommend Schwinn to anyone that averages less than 100 miles a month of bike riding a month. It can handle more miles but I would stay economical if not putting on more than 1,200 miles annually. And with an economical bike if you do ride more miles you can add on more expensive components later.
