It does leak, the only way to stay perfectly dry is to drape your own tarp over the top under the rainfly to keep it in place. If you do not have a tarp then you will get wet. The main thing is is that the zippers that you put in these tents are so substandard that it doesn’t last more than one or two camping trips. You set a new low in tents and the damn zippers you put in them.
One person needs to be inside to help hoist up the tent and hold it in place while you force the poles into the ring-&-pin holders. The netting has many flaws in it (not a nice smooth texture as in better quality tents). I guess if you have kids that want to play in it, it would be fine. The first one I set up was in the fall (supposed to be a 3-season). It snowed a few inches and it completely caved in breaking all the shock-corded fiber glass poles. Even when you set it up you can actually hear the poles crackling.

I can attribute these problems mostly to the constant use and age of the tent really. The cup holders seem ridiculous, since food should never be taken in a tent. I always put a large tarp over my tent, so I stay dry whether the tent leaks or not. I had a small 4 by 6 tent that everyone laughed at when we went camping.
