Ozark Trail 16′ x 10 5′ Family Dome Tent Reviews

Over a hundred and seventy dollar Ozark Trail tent completely fell apart on me and my daughter. I had to tape the tent ozark trail screen house together with military issue 100-mile-an-hour tape. Upon taking down the sun shield things started to go sideways.

They are the sorriest tents I have ever bought. I have exchanged two tents after the first use, even those leaked. It is a waste of good money to be throwing away on tents. I could have used a bed sheet and stayed drier.

One person needs to be inside to help hoist up the tent and hold it in place while you force the poles into the ring-&-pin holders. The netting has many flaws in it (not a nice smooth texture as in better quality tents). I guess if you have kids that want to play in it, it would be fine. The first one I set up was in the fall (supposed to be a 3-season). It snowed a few inches and it completely caved in breaking all the shock-corded fiber glass poles. Even when you set it up you can actually hear the poles crackling.

I must say that nothing is waterproof, water resistant is a better term. I bought a $3 bottle of seam sealer followed the directions and have not had a single issue with water since. I just bought the 9’x7′ backpacking tent 2 days ago, because I want to do some bikepacking here in FL.

And you have to make sure that the zipper is closed well and also sprayed with a water repellent. But unfortunately, they are many morons out there that don’t ozark trail screen house know the first thing about camping. I have the JW-7607 which is a 2-3 (read that as two) person tent. I have had it for years and am thrilled with it.
