26″ Mongoose Malus Adult Fat Tire Mountain Bike Bicycle for Men and Women, 7-Speed, Twist Shifters, Steel Frame, Mechanical Disc Brakes, Black

I live in a part of the world where the local council has gone bananas for pump tracks. Mainly because I am aging mountain biker and that’s a gear we slip into very easily. But partly because riding this bike did have me experiencing a strange kind of ‘muscle memory’. Arms and legs bent out as far as possible, neck cricked upwards to see what lay ahead, legs aching was not-ever-sitting-down. That said, there are plenty of families who need a kids fat bike for niche riding either in sand or in snow. For those select families, there is the Mongoose Argus Trail.

It pairs a shock-absorbing suspension with wheels from Reynolds Blacklabel, another trusted cycling brand. When we tested it, we appreciated how precisely it handled, enabling us to ride confidently across diverse terrain. In addition, with 24-inch wheels, my son’s bikes are getting big enough that I am able to ride them without damaging anything. I’m not taking them off jumps or going for sustained rides, but just trying to get the feel and experience of the machine. I am excited to take my son fat biking this coming winter and provide a complete review. Kid sized fat bike frames are rare so taking him out this winter will be a unique experience.

My son is also still a child and I don’t want to torture him too much. We will definitely stick to mountain biking with his Trailcraft, but I am excited to get my son out on some decent snow rides. It was not until the late 1970s and early 1980s that road bicycle companies started to manufacture mountain bicycles using high-tech lightweight materials, such as M4 aluminum.

While the Mongoose Argus Trail is trail worthy, there are other bikes that do trail riding better. If you were wanting to replace the rigid fork with a suspension fork, then you would probably be hard pressed to find a fat fork that would fit. Tires also come with tubes, tubeless and tubeless-ready. Tires with tubes are the standard design and the easiest to use and maintain. Tubeless tires are significantly lighter and often have better performance because you can run them at a lower tire pressure which results in better traction and increasing rolling resistance. Tubeless-ready tires are tires that can use tubes or go tubeless.

This ready-to-race bike is best for more advanced riders who like to take on longer adventures at high speeds. Best for riding around the neighborhood with friends or crushing local dirt trails. Best for beginners looking to take their next adventure on the road, gravel, or local dirt trails. And we appreciate how responsive mongoose dirt bike it feels, allowing us to quickly maneuver through twists and turns. Best for beginner and intermediate riders looking to tackle a mix of routes, like local trails, intense climbs, or steep drops. Despite ‘amusingly’ saying A+E in the headline of this review, the Mongoose Fireball Moto never caused me to visit the hospital.

However, many pro-level mountain bikers have taken to using a narrower 10-speed road chain with a 9-speed setup in an effort to reduce the weight of their bike. In early 2009, component group SRAM announced their release of their XX groupset, which uses a 2-speed front derailleur, and a 10-speed rear derailleur mongoose bicycle and cassette, similar to that of a road bike. Mud-shedding capabilities of their 10-speed XX cassette are made suitable for MTB use by extensive Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining of the cassette. Due to the time and cost involved in such a product, they were only aimed at top-end XC-racers.

We like that this cross-country bike climbs hills efficiently and can easily take on quick descents. Plus, it can fit three water bottle cages mongoose bicycle to help you stay hydrated while you ride. It comes with a lifetime warranty, so you can ride knowing you (and your bike) are protected.
