The Varsity must have been stolen because I obviously never sell my bicycles. I’m younger than the author, and grew up in the 90s-2000s, well after the time of these bikes, but I do remember the second wave of chopper bikes. They had some beefy rear tires that I’d imagine cost a fortune to replace. I had a Schwinn Sting Ray, but a later one with a same size front wheel as back, and no suspension in the front fork.
