Unlock Off-Road Thrills: Genesis V2100 Review!

We’ve split this guide up into four large sections; road bikes, adventure bikes, cyclocross bikes, and utility bikes, detailing each of the bikes in the range and how they differ from the others. If you’re a dyed in the wool roadie or complete ‘cross-head, you can jump genesis bike straight to the section that interests you most. The Equilibrium and Equilibrium Disc are also endurance/sportive-focused bikes, and come with a steel frame and carbon fork. The steel makes for a super comfortable ride, while the carbon reduces some of the weight.

For information on the GenesisV2100 mountain bike review, see this article. The Datum comes with 32c tyres, which is a bit closer to the ‘road’ end of the spectrum. But there is clearance for up to 38c, so if the conditions require it, this bike is able to handle the rougher stuff. Some adventures are about taking your time and drinking in your surroundings, others are about getting there fast. This bike is designed for lightweight bike-packing, able to tackle ultra-distances on mixed terrain. The Mantle is the brand’s XC and endurance bike, and is a full carbon 29er hardtail with 100mm travel.

The 16 years old brand is mainly known for the conception of durable bicycles made of quality materials. Most of these bikes are reported by users as comfortable and reliable, some of which are record-breakers (bicycle touring in particular). Essentially an aluminium version of the Croix de Fer, the CDA features a similar plethora of mounts and wide clearances but comes in at a significantly lower price. Part of this is down to the different frame material, but cheaper components are also a factor. Given the versatility of this frame, it is perhaps to be expected that there is a large number of different builds on offer.

Of course, a bicycle remains reliable if it is used as designed. Make sure you use your machine properly and maintain it regularly. Lowest noise possible, quick disconnect for ease of use, and unmatched dependability.

This Class-2 e-bike features a step-thru aluminum 6061-T6 frame for a comfortable ride especially if you like to bring a backpack or make frequent stops. Sturdy triple wall aluminum 26” x 36 H x 12G rims and 26” x 2.10in tires are ideal for a daily city cruise. Ostensibly, this is a more budget-oriented version of the Vapour Carbon. The aluminium frame is cheaper, although the fork is still carbon. Disc brakes remain present, but they have been changed to mechanical rather than hydraulic. The drivetrain is still a performance oriented 1×11 set up and, in all, this is still a competitive racing machine.

It’s a much better learning curve for the novice, because afterward, whether the bike is replaced with a 2× or a 1×, you’ll be able to master it more quickly. Due to being disc brake only, the bridge between the seatstays could be removed. This further increases mud clearance and also adds to the frame’s compliance, providing better control. Definitely not a versatile bike; this is designed with only CX racing in mind and makes no compromises – except for, perhaps, its two sets of bottle bosses. There aren’t mounting points for front or rear pannier racks; strap on bike-packing bags are the weapon of choice here. Some practically remains, with downtube bottle bosses (useful for holding extra water or a tool keg) and discrete mudguard mounts.

There’s the option of having a full carbon frame at the higher end of the spec too, or a more affordable version with an aluminium frame and carbon fork. The Genesis Datum is another versatile bike that could serve as a gravel-cruncher or mile-muncher, depending on the tyres you choose to run. There’s also a women’s-specific version of the Datum, as well as a frameset so you can build your own. We offer 24-hour service turnaround on bikes of any brand (excluding certain e-bike models). Our fast, friendly service team will have you rolling again in no time. The brakes are used with disc brakes on the front and rear of the bike, making for a nice look.

Employing a low-maintenance 8-speed Shimano Nexus hub gear system this is complemented by matching hydraulic brakes. Based around a light aluminium frame, it arrives with mudguards and a kickstand pre-fitted. Some people think there is more suspension, and there is some redundancy, but when riding with more suspension can be better damping. Riding exercise, not to hurt the body, but to better health and fitness. The basics are there in full length mudguards, a rear pannier rack, and puncture resistant tyres.
