With bonus stakes, guylines, and a wheeled carry bag, you’re certainly getting value for your money. With 100ft² of ground space, multiple people can stand or sit comfortably inside without feeling cramped. It’s also enough room to put a standard table, some picnic chairs, and a cooler or two. With these openings, it gives the wind somewhere to go. It can flow right through and out the other side, since the vents are facing each other.
Might need some help the first couple of uses to get the mechanism pulled down into place. In the low-cost range of outdoor shelters, the Ozark 10ft x 10ft Trail Canopy is definitely at the top in its class. It sticks to the classics, with a very traditional design that works. There may not be many bells and whistles, but we don’t think it’s necessary here. We think this is the biggest standout in relation to how different this model is to others on the market.
It is made with a steel construction frame and polyester material for the canopy, which is in line with just about every shade tent on the market today. The legs are locked into place with old school metal push button locks, something you won’t see on many modern pop up tents now-a-days. These push locks get very difficult to use over time, especially if the tent is used on the beach and exposed to sand and saltwater, causing rust build up. Many newer tent ozark trail wagon brands like EZ-Up use revolutionary thumb lock sliders or larger easy to release buttons, which are a much better user experience when setting the canopy up or taking it down. With the push buttons you need to worry about pinching fingers or not being able to release the button when it gets rusted, which is never a pleasant experience. The legs extend to give the top peak a height of about 8’10” which will be plenty of headroom for anyone underneath.
A couple of elements make it standout from a regular shelter, like the upper vents in the roof and the upgraded all-steel structure. It is the best, so easy to set up.Wwhen it rains it doesn’t leak at all. My autistic grandson loves it but we can’t figure out how to pop it back down to fit the storage bag. As well as plenty of room on the ground, the height is tall and allows even the tallest in your family or friends to stand up everywhere, not just at the peak. We appreciate that the frame has been made of tough steel, as this ensures that it will stay stable throughout moderate winds.
And compared to some of the tents in the EZ-Up lineup, it sells for almost a 70% discount. One could, in theory, purchase a new Ozark canopy every year (which they might need to!) and still come out ahead over the years vs. purchasing a more expensive alternative. We love this feature because it won’t nip at your fingers and you can do one leg at a time.
It’s not super heavy because of the soft top, and that also seems to be a main reason for why its price is so reasonable. Based on the high brand reputation and the overall quality of materials, this looks like a trustworthy choice. Set-up is instant so you can have it up and ozark trail wagon running in no time at all.
