Additionally, we compared the cooking capacity of each model, and we took note of any egregiously noisy fans or annoying beeps. Convection toaster ovens, meanwhile, are larger and more versatile, but often aren’t powerful enough to achieve the same level of crispiness, and certainly not as quickly. It got off to a slow start and they took 10 minutes to brown, then I turned them and after only five more minutes they were browned all over and cooked right through. Fish sticks and chicken fingers were pale and soggy on the bottom after baking.
