They not only are workhorses that excel at deep-cleaning but also are easy to store and great at cleaning both carpets and hardwoods. That said, some upright vacuums are bulky and many are noisy (outside of a few that made our cut for the quietest vacuums). Read on for the details on how we test upright vacuums, and which models perform the best in our tests. It comes with shark robotic vacuums plenty of tools, including a self-cleaning pet power brush that targets pet hair and ground-in dirt from carpeted areas. An upholstery tool cleans up after pampered pets with couch privileges, and the same attachment works on curtains, lampshades, tables and even walls. A crevice tool that will get right into tight corners, along baseboards and for cleaning ceilings.
Some of these bog down easily and do not deep clean well.- It has powerful suction. We measured it at 24 kPA (see video below) which is fairly close to many of the Dyson uprights. Powerful suction is critical shark dustbuster to pulling up pet hair from both carpet and bare surfaces. When using the vacuum on bare surfaces you will also likely have the brushroll OFF so having exceptional suction here is very important.
However, keep in mind that it took many passes on the carpet to finally pick it up. Deep-pile carpet proved to be an even bigger problem because the debris got stuck deep in the fibers. With carpet, we found that the trick is to put the vacuum directly over clumps of hair for the most effective results.
And while it’s definitely on the pricier side, we believe the price tag is completely warranted. We love our pets, and we’d do anything for them, but constantly cleaning up pet hair and spilled kibble is a pain. (Even dog-loving celebs like Chris Evans and Kaley Cuoco likely have the same issue.) A quality pet hair vacuum can go a long way toward shark dustbuster keeping your home (at least somewhat) clean. We experimented with the three attachments when cleaning stairs and found the crevice tool to be the most helpful, as the other two attachments are really designed with upholstery and drapes in mind. While cleaning the stairs was a bit time-consuming, since we opted to use the extension hose, rather than the motor head, the vacuum’s suction was still plenty powerful through this alternative mode. We also appreciated using the lift-away pod to carry around while cleaning curtains or reaching light fixtures.
