This will most certainly be a tight squeeze for six people, but it could more comfortably accommodate two parents and two children. However, the Instant Tent also has a handful of drawbacks that make it less than coleman screen tent universally appealing. This instant set up design means that this tent can be pitched by one person. The most challenging part might be getting the additional rainfly over the peak height of the tent body.
Available in various sizes and configurations, there’s a perfect size for solo camping, lightweight four wheel drive touring as well as for weekend getaways and family camping. Because the Coleman 2 person instant tent is so small it actually does pretty well in cold weather. I’ve been able to borrow the 4 person version from family and it was much nicer for two people. That being said for one person the 2 person pop up tent is absolutely perfect, and it’s a great size for kids.
It held up well to the elements and came with a lot of excellent features for the price. This tent comes in sizes small enough to accommodate four people and large enough for 12. Both tents were rigorously tested through numerous weekend campouts that took them through 90° heats and monsoon-level rainfall. Plus they had roomy footprints that allow you to roll out your sleeping bags with space to spare.

I also looked at the quality of the instant tent mechanism for both my Coleman 10-Person Instant Tent, and my Core 9-Person Instant Tent. On the other hand, both my CORE tents have at least a few ground vents, which keep out rain much better coleman screen tent than the Coleman’s mesh wall vents. However, for rainy day ventilation, I think CORE tents are slightly better. Instead, the fabric extends all the way to the ground, so I did my best to keep them away from the light flooding in my yard.
